My name is Stephanie Hill, I have owned and operated Best Friends since 2004 and was proudly nominated for the Douglas College Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005 and 2015.
My child care career started with my own children (who are now grown men!) with my own Licensed Family Child Care.
I went on to teach Preschool and Children's programs for the City of Port Coquitlam.
When I moved to Pitt Meadows in 2003 the idea of Best Friends was born. While operating Best Friends School Age Care I also worked as a Behaviour Interventionist and a Special Education Assistant.
In 2014 I decided to not just follow my dreams, but to chase after them. I expanded Best Friends Children's Centre Inc to offer Infant, Toddler, 3-5 and expand our School Age Care Program.
In early 2018 I took on Miran Morris, "my right hand girl" and
best friend as my business partner. We continue to have great plans for Best Friends.
I am incredibly blessed to have the support of my fabulous team. The ladies I have the pleasure of working with are the ones who bring my dreams to fruition.
When not at work I enjoy time with my husband, travelling and our four dogs, Layla, Laddy, Bruno and Miller.
We honour that all children are unique individuals.
We look forward to being your partners in creating a strong foundation for your child from Infant to Grade three. Our staff spend time nurturing your children’s strengths and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Our Infant program provides a loving, enriched environment where children can safely explore their world. Our Toddler program is rich with music, art, play and laughter! Both of these programs are staffed above Licensing Ratio Requirements.
Best Friends 3-5 years program provides a child-centered environment where children can safely learn through play. We love to play outside and explore our natural world. We believe in emergent curriculum, we follow your child's natural curiosities to provide a dynamic program. Our Program is a Reggio inspired, play based program.
Best Friends School Age Care Program promotes social skills, life skills and knowledge of self, through activities, which are developmentally appropriate for the children in care. We play outside everyday after school for an hour.
We then enjoy, free play, arts, crafts and group activities.
Our goal is to ensure that your child's time with us is rich, stimulating and joyful!
